NOMINATION & ELECTION OF NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS

We need your help to run the Club to give your children the best experience

To perform these roles you will be provided with help and assistance from the club along with support and information from Little Athletics SA.  You will be entitled (but not expected) to attend committee meetings to help make decision to strengthen the Club.  You can start as a general committee member and take on a role when you learn more about them.

Minutes of AGM for season 2018-19

 

The minutes of the AGM on 29 March 2019 were presented. There being no changes noted it was proposed that they be confirmed as a true and correct record of the meeting:

Presidents Report:

 

Craig Ward presented his report.

 

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 the AGM could not be held at the end of last season and was delayed until now. This season we had a total of 154 registered athletes. A big thank you must go to the parents of the athletes for your support in giving your children the opportunity to participate each Friday night.

 

Outside of our weekly meets, there were several meets at SA Athletics Stadium that we as a club attended and we had many successes.

Craig thanked the Committee members who have put in many hours, often unseen to maintain the grounds and equipment, coaching, the uniforms, the canteen, the entry of results, production of reports, athlete registrations, competition managers who put together teams and parent allocations for the state events, the timekeepers and starters each Friday night and all those that help set-up and pack up.

 

Our former athletes who run the tiny tot and On Track programs on a Friday night.

Their support and encouragement of our little athletes is outstanding.

 

The Ray Kerlogue Memorial Award is dedicated in memory of the clubs longest serving volunteer who was a committee member and coach for 25 years.It is awarded to the volunteer judged to have contributed significantly over the last season as voted by the Committee. This year’s winner is Peter Sulicich. Congratulations.

Craig Ward presented the treasurers report on behalf of Di Camilleri:

 

Opening bank balance 1 April 2019:$50,455

Receipts for 2019/20:$22,087

Payments for 2019/20:

Closing bank balance 31 March 2020:$35,681

Recorder: Nomination was received from Tair Vaidenfeld. Elected unopposed.

Assistant Recorder: No nominations were received. The position remains unfilled.

Competition Officer: Nominations was received from James Cleggett. Elected unopposed.

Assistant Competition Officer: No nominations were received. The position remains unfilled.

Head Coach: Nominations was received from Steve Camilleri. Elected unopposed.

Assistant Coach: Nominations was received from Di Camilleri. Elected unopposed.

Grounds & Equipment Officer: No nominations were received. The positions remain unfilled.

Assistant Grounds and Equipment Officers: No nominations were received. The positions remain unfilled.

Canteen Officer: Nomination was received from Dunja Warnes. Elected unopposed.

Assistant Canteen Officer: Nomination was received from Greg Warnes. Elected unopposed.

Uniforms Officer: Nominations was received from Di Camilleri. Elected unopposed.

Member Safety Officer: Nominations was received from David Galanos. Elected unopposed.

First Aid Officer: Nominations was received from Wayne LeClercq. Elected unopposed.

Communications Officer: Nomination was received from Rachel Newrick. Elected unopposed.

Fundraising, Grants and Sponsorship Officer: Nomination was received from Greg Warnes. Elected unopposed.

Assistant Fundraising, Grants and Sponsorship Officer: Nomination was received from Mathilde Thorsen. Elected unopposed.

Personal Best Co-ordinator: No nominations were received. The position remains unfilled.

General Committee Members: Nomination was received Greg Singler. Elected.unopposed.
